This presentation covers various railway operations
in the North/North West area of NSW.
The line to Moree and Beyond as well as the Main Northen
Line that once ran trains to Wallangarra are some of the
most interesting and picturesque lines in Australia.
With scenery ranging from open wheat fields to bare land,
bushland, hilly countryside, flood plains.
Interesting towns that form part of the classic
countryside with distintive features such as grain silos,
open or closed or even now one time station locations now
demolished. You will see locomotives and trains in all aspects of weather.
Railway operations seen throughout this fim include:
Grain, Flour, Coal, Container, Ballast and heritage tours, local shunting
operations in Gunnedah, grain wagons hauled by classic 48 class underloading
at Bellata on the North West Line. We also play tribute to the now defunct Tamworth Fuel Train.
We view the train being shunted to and from the Shell Fuel Depot by an 80 and X class locomotive before it's run between West Tamworth and Ardglen.
This film is still in final stages of working progress, but once completed and available this film should be a treat for all railway enthusiasts with and not only that this film can also be a good guide to anyone who is thinking of having their own railway adventure in the north/north west of NSW.

Chapters set so far for this feature are as follows:
1: Festival of Steam 2009 - Review
2: Binnaway Bound Aurora
